Foundation Scholarship

The ASIS International Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, provides funding and manages endowments for a wide range of academic, strategic, and professional development activities. The Detroit Chapter has a long and consistent history of both supporting the ASIS Foundation and helping its members become beneficiaries of the Foundation. The Chapter has offered scholarship programs for its members for over 30 years. Scholarships have traditionally been awarded through a combination of academic papers and recommendations by Michigan academia of their students. Students typically are actively engaged in a program of criminal justice or security administration. A review panel of chapter members selects the winner who is honored at a chapter meeting and also is presented with a monetary check from the Detroit Chapter. ASIS International then matches our Detroit Chapter cash award, thereby doubling the opportunity for our scholarship winners.
