Welcome and Thank You for visiting the Detroit Chapter of ASIS International website.

It is my honor to serve as the Chapter Chairperson for 2010 and I am excited about working with the chapter leadership and members this year.

2010 Chapter Chair - ASIS International Detroit Chapter

The Chapter meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month, except for June and July, and include a speaker or training session and a meal. Some other special events include:

• The Annual Detroit Chapter Update May 25th 2010 at the VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College in Livonia that includes security supplier exhibits and outstanding training programs.
• The Annual ASIS Detroit Chapter Golf Outing benefiting our Scholarship Fund held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Reddeman Farms Golf Course in Chelsea, MI.
• Security Officer of the Year Award is given to annually to a security officer in the Detroit Chapter area for outstanding service to their community or department.
• Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award is given annually to a Law Enforcement Officer in the Detroit Chapter area for outstanding service to their community or department for heroism, community involvement, proactive policing or who serves as a role model to others.
• ASIS Board Installation Dinner and Holiday Party in December to finish out the year with a festive holiday celebration.

The ASIS Detroit Chapter can only be successful with your active participation. Becoming a member and attending meetings, training and events is an excellent way to get connected and stay connected with other security professionals in the Detroit area and around the world. We are always looking for active members to participate on committees and in Chapter leadership roles.
